The lawyers of the leader Ocalan submitted an urgent request to the Public Prosecution of Bursa and the administration of Imrali Prison to meet with their client.

On Tuesday, the lawyers (Fayik Ozgur Erol, Razia Ozturk, Rizan Sariga and Cengiz Yürkli) submitted a request to the Bursa Prosecutor's Office and the Directorate of the Penal Sanctions Authority in Imrali for an urgent meeting with the leader.

There has been no information about the leader and his health for 9 months.

The last meeting with the leader was held by his lawyer, Rizan Sariga and Newroz Uysal, on August 7th, 2019, and since that date, the Turkish authorities have imposed strict isolation on the leader, Ocalan, who has been detained since 1999.

While his last contact with the outside world was on the 25th of last March, during a phone call with his brother, Mohammad Ocalan, that lasted 5 minutes, then the call was cut off.

The leader was arrested following an international conspiracy, the first of which began on October 9th, 1998, when he left Syria for Moscow. He was arrested on February 15th, 1999 in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, and handed over to the Turkish authorities.
