PCR tests available anew in North Eastern Syria

Since November 10 no PCR tests were available in North eastern Syria but after relentless efforts made by the Health Body of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria it was announced that PCR tests were active again as of today. The PCR is the sole of its kind in the whole region.

Joan Mustafa Co-chair of Health Body of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria told ANHA that '' these items and materials that are essential in carrying out PCRs  are not available in NES and they cannot enter except via official border crossings that have been closed since a very long period of time due to the blockade imposed on north eastern Syria that impedes among others entry of medical materials to north eastern Syria''.

Joan Mustafa noted these PCRs would render tests for a limited period of time adding they received promises from international bodies to deliver another batch to North Eastern Syria.

On the fourth variant Mustafa said they are all hope they would overcome the new variant as they did in the past.

According to a statistic released by the Health Body of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria on 10 November the toll of all cases of the pandemic in North eastern Syria reached 36960 cases with 1478 deaths and 2498 recoveries.
