Kurdish National Congress finishes its annual meeting by putting future plan in the next year 

The Kurdistan National Congress issued the final statement of the general meeting held on the 11th of this December.

According to the final statement, the agenda of the meeting described the political situation and events in Kurdistan and the world, as well as the discussion and evaluation of the work of the National Conference over the past year.

The participants discussed the organizational schemes and preparations for holding meeting in 2021 year, and putting future plan work, they also discussed the situation in the all parts of Kurdistan and the fateful issues for each part.

With regard to Northern Kurdistan, the National Congress confirmed that the Kurdish people in Northern Kurdistan were subjected to a systematic political extermination campaign and the physical extermination of the use of chemical weapons by the Turkish occupying army.

The statement added” We confirm that our priority is to stop the use of chemical weapons against our people, we will work hard to stop this chemical attack.”

About the situation of the Kurdish people in Rojhilat Kurdistan, statement added” the political forces in Rojhilat must take the benefit from the others experiences that witnessed the rest parts of Kurdistan, and unite their ranks, We, the Kurdistan National Congress will escalate the resistance in this field. So, many meetings and seminars in several parts would be held for exposing the policies of the Iranian regime and consolidation the internal dialogue.

In its statement, the National Conference criticized the silence of the Iraqi Government and the Government of Southern Kurdistan on the attacks and crimes of the Turkish state, emphasizing in particular the attacks against Shengal: "We at the National Congress will support Shengal people, as we strongly condemn the attacks of the Turkish state, and we offer deepest the condolence to the parents of Marwan Badal and to all the people of Êzidxanê.”

On the situation in Rojava, the Kurdish National Congress confirmed its willingness to work towards recognition of the political entity in Rojava and indicated that they would organize various activities and events to ensure this.

The Kurdish National Congress also confirmed its active participation in the campaign to remove the name of the PKK from the "List of Terrorism." It also monitors the situation of detainees in the Imrali prison and participates in all matters relating to the fight against the isolation imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan.
