​​​​​​​Dissident from Roj's mercenaries: ENKS implements orders of Turkish state

 The young Tofan Kobani, who had joined the Roj mercenaries, went to join the People's Protection Units (YPG) after he realized the reality of these mercenaries.  The fighter who remained with the Roj mercenaries for three years, explained that the goal of the Roj mercenaries is to cause Kurdish infighting.

 'They didn't let us go back to Rojava'

 Kobani says, "When we joined the Peshmerga, they were telling us that you would go to Rojava to fight, but this was bullshit. We did not cross to Rojava. They used to say that the Kurdish National Council is your political base. Hundreds of people are still involved in  the ranks of the Peshmerga are being trained according to the idea that we support the Rojava revolution."

 Kobani explained that when they did not cross into Rojava, then they began to fight guerrillas. "The guerrilla squares were close to the border. What the Turkish soldiers could not do, they did it through the Peshmerga. We now see that the Peshmerga are involved in the killing. Our comrades are martyred at their hands."

Kobani stated that in the first two years in the ranks of Roj's mercenaries, a war machine was used, and he continued, "They wanted to send us wherever there was war. Little by little, the attacks reached Rojava. Afrin was occupied, so we said it was possible that there was no chance for us to go to defend it. After that, threats appeared on Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî. But during the war they put some conditions Then I thought about the situation a little. My family was in Rojava, but I was in Başûr alone. I was talking with my family and I found that what is going on here is a different matter. What is the illusion that I live in. On this basis, I learned a little about the movement. Some here were defending  civilian while I was there."

 He spoke about his familiarity with the movement and said, “At first, I did not know the movement. I just wanted to come to defend my country. But I saw the difference between the Peshmerga and the People’s Protection Units over time during the training. I was there as a recruit only. At the end of the month, everyone gets their money.”  We worked for money with Roj mercenaries. You don't work here because someone asks you to.  You do it for yourself and realize the purpose of your work.

Private warfare is now underway.  They want to belittle the comrades in the eyes of society.  For example, they say now go back to Afrin.  On what basis will they return?  The returnee is killed and arrested."

 Kobani pointed out that those who opened the way for mercenaries during the battles of Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî were the people associated with the Kurdish National Council.  The mercenaries and the opening of the way for them during the attacks of the Turkish state were members of the Kurdish National Council. The Kurdish National Council receives its orders from the Turkish state."

 “When I was with the Peshmerga, I saw these facts. I said what I am doing. We have been killing each other because of our main enemy over the years,” says Toufan Kobani, a YPG fighter.
