Ocalan’s lawyers submit a request to meet him

Lawyers (Faik Ozgr Arol, Radia Ozturk, Rizan Sareja, jengez Yorkly), visited the Republican Public Prosecutor's Office in Bursa and the Directorate of the Penal Sanctions Authority in Imrali to meet the leader but the Turkish authorities don't respond lawyers' requests, where they have been demanding since November 22 to urgently meet with their client. In his high-security prison in Imrali, the leader Ocalan has been isolated since his arrest in 1999 through an international conspiracy.

The last meeting with the leader Ocalan was on March 25, 2020, via a phone call with his brother for only five minutes, then the call was cut before it ended.

The lawyers of the leader Ocalan were able to meet their client after 8 years, on the 2nd and 22nd of May, the 12th and 18th of June and the 7th of August of 2019, after that the Turkish authorities rejected all the requests to meet him.

They also submitted to the Execution Court in Bursa on the 22nd of last November, a request for an urgent meeting with Leader Ocalan, but after this request, it became clear that two new penalties had been imposed against him. 6 months on the 12th of October. The court rejected the request, citing that the Presidency of the Disciplinary Authority of the Executive Directorate had imposed a disciplinary penalty against the leader on August 18, for a period of 3 months .
