By length of 230 km.. Turkey builds borders in depth of Syria

 During a year, our agency's correspondents monitored the digging of trenches by Turkey and its mercenary groups along the lines of contact in the area between Girê Spî/ Tal Abyad and Serêkaniye / Ras al-Ain and along the M4 international road.

 The Turkish occupation ended the construction of 20 military bases in the occupied areas in northern and eastern Syria, especially on the outskirts of Ain Issa town, equipped with watchtowers, tanks, and radar systems for air defense against drones.

 Al-Monitor reported that the Turkish occupation forces dug a 230-kilometer trench deep in Syrian territory, along the international road, linking the military bases.  Under the pretext of securing the areas occupied by Turkey from attacks carried out by the Syrian Democratic Forces.

 In light of the Turkish state’s talk about the SDF’s attacks, 48 ​​villages in the north and east of Syria were subjected to Turkish missile and artillery shelling and infiltrations by mercenary groups during the past year, killing dozens of civilians in various massacres, including the “Safwaiyah massacre in Ain Issa” and the displacement of 12 villages.

 In an interview conducted by our agency, Hazza Muhammad, the deputy co-chair of the Executive Council of the Girê Spi / Tal Abyad canton said that "the Turkish state, under the pretext of the safe zone, it seeks a malicious scheme to annex Syrian areas to Turkey."

 He added, "The presence of the Turkish occupation is a source of concern for every Syrian citizen. Turkish intentions have been exposed to all Syrians. The Turkish state treats the occupied areas as Turkish regions, and the process of digging trenches means artificial borders, and a drawing of the borders of Turkish ambitions."

 The Turkish state seeks to legitimize its occupation of Syrian lands, by building artificial borders and completely separating the northern areas of the international road from the southern, in light of the installation of Turkish flags in the villages located on the M4 international road.

 Hazza Mohammed held the international community and the "guarantor" forces in Syria responsible for the crimes and violations committed by Turkey and its mercenary groups in the region, noting that the solution is Turkey's permanent withdrawal from Syrian territory.

 In addition to the areas occupied by Turkey in Afrin and areas north of Aleppo, and the areas of Serêkaniyê / Ras al-Ain and Girê Spî / Tal Abyad, about 95 villages in northeastern Syria, according to the Human Rights Organization in the al-Jazeera and Euphrates regions, lost part of their agricultural lands, estimated at  27,033 dunums during the construction of the Turkish state's separation wall on the border.
