AANES hands over two ISIS children to the Swiss Government

The Swiss delegation that received the two children was headed by Ms. Stephanie Periart, Head of the Consular Protection Department at the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Antoine Laham, representative of the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs and follow-up to the work of the Constitutional Committee. They were received by the Vice- co chairmanship of the External Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration, Fanar Al-Kait.

During the bilateral meeting, Fanar Al-Katit explained that since the liberation of al-Baghuz, the last geographical spot that was occupied by ISIS, the AANES has appealed to the international community to receive all its citizens from ISIS families. It noted the dangers of children and women staying in terrorist atmosphere. "

Al - Katit thanked the countries that had responded to the issue and received their citizens and stressed that "This is a thorny and dangerous issue that requires international cooperation to avoid ISIS organizing and creating a new generation of terrorists. We hope that the Swiss Government will play a positive role in this matter."

For her part, Stephanie Periart thanked the AANES for good reception and cooperation for facilitating the task and contributing to improving the future of the two children away from the terrorist atmosphere.

At the end of the visit, the Swiss delegation handed over two children from ISIS families in accordance with an official extradition document signed between the two sides.
