Jazira intellectuals confirm to be vigilant of Ankara, Damascus tricks

Turkish threats and attacks on north and east Syria continue to occupy more Syrian areas, in conjunction with a double media war by Turkey and the Damascus Government.

In addition to the constant bombardment by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries of scattered areas in north and east Syria, and the targeting of civilians via UAVs, the Turkish occupying state, on the one hand, and the Damascus Government, on the other, are fighting the people of north and east Syria and their democratic project of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria," through their media.

Saddam noted that the attacks, threats and the continuing media war against north and east Syria were caused by the region's pursuit of the third line, based on equality and democracy in the country, the fulfilment of the rights of all components, away from the power struggle in the country, and the division of Syrian territory.

The member of the Intellectuals Union of Jazira, Aziz Suleiman, agreed with his predecessor that, since the beginning of the Syrian crisis, the choice of components of north and east Syria to defend their regions and countries against any aggression and to preserve the sovereignty of their territories has given rise to the ire of States in their fragmentation.

The writer and Kurdish language teacher Maha Al-Khalaf shows that the Turkish occupation state, along with the Damascus Government, aims to weaken the Autonomous Administration, which embraces all components, so the occupying power sometimes threatens, sometimes bombs, and attacks, in conjunction with statements by officials in the Damascus Government against the Autonomous Administration, She pointed out that the Damascus Government is weak and wants to prove itself that it is the decision-maker in the country, by taking advantage of these threats.

The writer and member of the Intellectuals Union of Jazira, Aziz Suleiman, sees the media against the AANES’ project as an attempt to create chaos and create new balances: "For their purposes and aspirations, States always go to attempts to create balances at a time and create chaos at another time, which is what Damascus and Turkey are seeking."

Suleiman referred to the ongoing Turkish occupation attacks and statements, the attempted entry of the Damascus Government and army into the region through the Russian state under the pretext of preventing threats and attacks, on north and east Syria, as well as daily political blackmail by those parties.

In addition, the writer and theatre director, Daham al-Saddam, stated that the Damascus Government wanted to take advantage of the threats of Turkish occupation against north and east Syria and said that "the Damascus Government is now at its weakest."

Aziz Suleiman emphasizes that there is a special war being waged by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, on the one hand, as well as by the Damascus Government, on the other hand, by its officials, through its media, saying, "The Syrian regime and its aides, as well as the Turkish occupation, are fighting the peoples of north and east Syria through their media and through propaganda, as a special war."

The writer and language teacher, Maha Al-Khalaf, believes that the most appropriate weapon in confronting all these attempts is to cling to the ground, not to be drawn into everything rumored, to follow reliable and official media sources, and to be careful.

In the light of all the ongoing challenges and attacks on north and east Syria, intellectuals have the greatest role to play in raising the awareness of society, as confirmed by the writer and member of the Union of Intellectuals of Jazira, Aziz Suleiman, and the writer and theatre director, Daham al-Saddam.
