Dibo: Russia positive towards decentralization modelled on AANES

On Tuesday 23 a delegation of Syria's Democratic Council, the SDC, and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, headed by SDC's Ilham Ahmed met with  Sergey Lavrov Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Mikhail Bogdanov Special Representative of the President of Russia for the Middle East and a representation of the Ministry of Defense as well officials relevant to the Syrian issue.   

Sihanok Dibo, SDC's Presidential Board, and in charge of Russian File in the Council, Nazira Ghoriye, Co-chair of the Executive Council of the Jazira Region, Fener Ghi'et Deputy of the Foregn Relations Department on NES, Reshad Benav AANES's in Moscow and PYD's in Moscow Abdul Salam Ali all formed the AANES delegation invited to Russia.

Dibo told ANHA that Lavrov confirmed encouragement and support toi the Intra-Syrian dialogue '' dialogue between the SDC and AANES from one hand and the authorities in Damascus from another'', the Russian part confirmed they encourage this approach on the hope to meet success''.

Dibo added discussions focused on the situation in north eastern part of the country giving s special attention to reach a political settlement in Syria based on UN Res 2254.

Dibo said Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation showed a seriousness to include SDC in the political process and be represented in the constitution and '' stress was laid on decentralization in Syria modeled on AANES''.

Dibo concluded humanitarian aids should also reach the region.
