Lawyer: fact-finding commission should be sent to S. Kurdistan to see war crimes

Turkish occupation state continues to launch attacks on the legitimate defense areas in Southern Kuridistan (Başûr). Turkey used internationally prohibited chemical weapons against the Gerilla fighters, after losing several battles.

People Defense Forces locations in the legitimate defense areas were subjected to many strikes with chemical weapons that are internationally prohibited by Turkish occupation state army. According to a statistic revealed by the media center of the People Defense Forces in a statement, Turkish occupation army used 323 attacks with chemical weapons and toxic gases against Guerrilla fighters trenches between April and October 2012.

In this context, Azad Abdi, says that "Turkey is a dictatorial, tyrannical state that acts  immorally, contrary to international laws and norms, and practices a policy of genocide and denial against Kurdish people, inside and outside Turkey through the history".

Abdi pointed out that Turkey is interfering in neighboring countries in Syria and Iraq, and it also commits violations.

International law in 1899 outlawed the use of prohibited weapons of mass destruction and chemical weapons in the agreement on the prevention of the use of chemical weapons, about 30 countries in 1993, signed the agreement including Turkey.

The lawyer says that "Turkey does not abide by the terms of  the agreement, and interferes in neighboring countries and uses chemical weapons in them"

He stressed that Turkey is still breaching agreement, and the evidence for that is its use of these weapons in Afrin, Sere kaniye and Gire Spi, where these weapons deformed child Muhammad's entire body, in front of the whole world.

Abdi noted that Turkey uses chemical weapons in its war against the Guerrilla forces in the mountains of Kurdistan, and that there are evidence and documents for that.

lawyer Azad Abdi, stressed that "the fact-finding committee of Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons should be sent to the areas where Turkey uses chemical weapons and sees evidence, and presenting its report to the Security Council and United Nations General Assembly on the grounds that Turkey is committing war crimes in those areas and hold them accountable.

Abdi added, "In the agreement there is a clause to destroy all internationally prohibited weapons if they are in any country".

Regarding the international silence towards the continuous Turkish violations, Abdi said that it is a violation of principles and morals "and it silence about Turkey’s support for ISIS and terrorist organizations and Turkey’s illegal actions towards the Kurdish people in north Kurdistan throughout history, and now it covers Turkey’s use of chemical weapons".
