TEV-DEM: Barzani's statement represents Turkish occupation viewpoint

The Movement for Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) denounced Masror Barzani's recent statements against North and East Syria: "The recent statement by Masror Barzani has given the clear reality that it represents the view of the Turkish occupation and in which we have not seen any service to the benefit of our people."

This came during statement issued by TEV-DEM in response to Barzani's recent statements that attempts to legitimize Turkey’s attacks and occupation of Kurdistan and NE, Syria, the statement reads:

"Given the developments in the region of regional and international conflicts and disputes with a view to imposing its hegemony on the will of peoples, it has led the international community to enter into a stifling crisis that has been unable to impose hegemony, most of these conflicts are in Kurdistan, while the Turkish occupying power has been waging a war of genocide against the will of our Kurdish people for dozens of years. It views Kurdistan and its people as a field of experience for lethal weapons, including chemical weapons. Crimes against humanity are being committed daily in Kurdistan, especially in the legitimate defence areas of (Southern Kurdistan), and its arbitrary and terrorist crimes against the occupied areas of Rojava, not to mention, its dirty policies against our peoples.”

The statement added, "The resistance of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement, its heroes of Guerrilla fighters and the resistance of our Kurdish people in protecting their gains and values from occupation have brought the Turkish occupying power and the power of the fascist AKP to the brink of collapse and are now at its most difficult stage and becoming an internationally undesirable State. Its continuous in the power is derived from its relying on some Kurdish parties that claim to protect the Kurds on the top the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK), which maintains the presence of the Turkish occupation on whole Kurdistan. As, we Kurds must urgently join hands together and double up our capabilities and efforts to show honourable national position against the Turkish occupation.

The statement called on "our people everywhere to expose the policies of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK), which supports the policy of Turkish occupation and legitimize occupation attacks against our will and values."
