Sonya Ibrahim calls on PDK not to cooperate with Turkish occupation

Member of the council of the Kurdish Leftist Party- Syria called on the centre of Euphrates region, Sonya Ibrahim, the Kurdish Democratic Party (PDK), to avoid its historical mistakes, to correct its course and to dissociate itself from the Turkish occupation state.

Several areas of Kurdistan are under attack by the Turkish occupation army, and particularly violent attacks are focused on legitimate defense areas in (Southern Kurdistan), which are subject to violent attacks by the Turkish occupation army and its intelligence with its heavy weapons.

Guerrilla forces were fighting those attacks with their light weapons and strong will, so that they could force the occupation to withdraw from several areas to which they had progressed.

In this context, the member of the council of the Kurdish Leftist Party- Syria, the centre of Euphrates region, Sonya Ibrahim, states that "the Turkish state continues to carry out attacks on Kurdish areas with the aim of exterminating the Kurdish people wherever they are and more recently Turkey's use of chemical weapons against Kurds."

"Chemical weapons are prohibited internationally and legally, but Turkey commits crimes under international silence, which demonstrates their support for Turkish attacks and crimes against Kurds," Sonya added.

The People’s Defence Fighters’ positions, HPG, in the legitimate defence areas have been subjected to numerous chemical weapons strikes, which are internationally prohibited by the Turkish occupying state. According to statistics revealed by HPG Media Centre, the Turkish occupation state used 323 chemical weapons and poisonous gas attacks against trenches where Guerrilla fighters were stationed in that area between April and October of this year.

On behalf of the party, Sonya called for an end to the ongoing Turkish crimes against the Kurdish people in particular, stating "because the goal of the Turkish occupation is to exterminate the Kurds wherever and in whatever manner."

On the betrayal of the PDK and its cooperation with the Turkish occupying state, the PDK denounced the PDK's cooperation with the Turkish occupation forces in (Southern Kurdistan), stating that "PDK must cease to cooperate with the occupation, stand by and support its Kurdish brothers and act as required to serve the Kurdish cause rather than take a treason approach."

It called on the Kurdistan Democratic Party to act in the interests of the Kurdish people, not to act in accordance with their party and personal interests, to pursue the struggle and to correct their historical mistakes.

Sonya Ibrahim has also called on all political parties to support the resistance of the Guerrilla, along with the Kurdish people everywhere, and to unite the Kurdish ranks to confront the Turkish occupation and its aggressive attacks until the last breath so that the Kurds can obtain their legitimate rights, for which they have fought throughout history.
