PYD rejects Damascus Government accusations

PYD, issued a statement called on Damascus Government not to deny the role of the Syrian Democratic Forces SDF, in defeating ISIS and preserving the unity of Syria.

The statement reads:

In light of economic and political collapse in Syria, and the tragic reality in the occupied areas by the Turkish state, displaced of millions of Syrians and hundreds of thousands of sons and daughters of Syria have been killed. Syrian officials are making statements showing hostility to Democratic Autonomous Administration and its political and defense institutions, accusing it of separatism and working for foreign powers.

The statement considered these accusations "offensive to the Syrian people and distort the truth, closing the way for efforts to achieve a comprehensive political solution in Syria. because they are the responsible for the existence of America, Russia and the rest of the international powers".

The statement stressed whoever make such accusations are the responsible for the miserable reality experienced by the Syrians.

The statement mentioned the role of SDF and AANES in preserving the unity of the Syrian territory, "because of the sacrifices and resistance of SDF, Syria was able to preserve its territorial integrity, that because ISIS and Turkey would have taken over all of Syria by now."

Marginalizing the national role of AANES serves only fragmentation

The statement continued, "At a time, we need to unite our ranks together against those who occupied our lands, and threatens our future as Syrians, we find the regime in Damascus adopting a policy of denial of the national and democratic role of SDF and the Democratic Autonomous Administration. This only results in deepening fragmentation in the Syrian."

Normalization of relations with one or two countries by the Damascus Government does not mean success and victory.

The statement also warned Damascus Government to not consider itself victorious. "Normalization of relations with one or two countries by the Damascus Government does not mean success and victory," stressing that "the real success is in solving our issues as Syrians in a peaceful way and on a democratic principle".

the statement added "We are not with the military option, but we will not succumb to any policy that targets our presence and our will."

The statement pointed to the adoption of the principle of Self-Defense and fundamental protection, "We, as the peoples of NE,S, during the crisis adopted the principle of self-reliance and the principle of independence in decision and away from being succumbed to external agendas, and on this basis we fought our enemies and achieved victories. We will march according to this principle to build a democratic Syria that guarantees the rights of all Syrians.

The statement stressed that the only option to get out of this tragic reality "is National-Syrian dialogue and negotiation, the other options are nothing just a deepening of crisis".

The statement continued, "regarding to the accusations of working for foreign powers, we would like to remind the officials in Damascus Government that their wrong behavior and their tyrannical treatment towards their people have made Syria a place for all the interfering forces regionally and internationally. Therefore, if we care about coexistence, we must meet and negotiate to agree on how to live with each other, who are our enemies, and who are our friends. But for the accusation through the media, we believe that does not serve the Syrian solution and does not serve the Syrian people".

The statement called on all Syrians to avoid hate speech that serves the enemies, and to work together to liberate the regions from Turkish occupier and build a democratic Syria that achieves dignity for all Syrians".
