According to the videos went viral on social media, a large number of Iranians gathered alongside the Isfahani farmers, chanting slogans such as: “Where is the Zayandeh Rud River?” and “Give back Zayandeh Road.”

The website "Iran International" reported that the Tehran authorities cut off the Internet from the protest site.

Large numbers of Isfahan citizens demonstrated alongside farmers for the 12th day, due to the non-allocation of water rations for Zayandeh Rod River, which is one of the most important internal rivers of Iran.

The protests began last week, during which a number of demonstrators set up tents on the banks of the Dry River.
