Families expressed their categorical refusal to involve their sons in the attacks against the HPG.

Amin Mohammad Amin Shakir, resident of the city of Qamishlo, is the brother of Ramadan, aged 24, who joined the ranks of Roj mercenaries seven years ago.

Amin stressed that the main enemy of the Kurdish people and the region is the Turkish occupation, and said: "The Turkish occupation state is the main enemy of the Kurdish people, it is the one that attacked our cities and killed our people, it is the one that occupied Afrin, Girê Spî/ Tal-Abyed and Serêkaniyê/ Ras al-Ain."

He explained that the cooperation of any Kurdish force with the Turkish occupation state is a betrayal, and he said, "We will never accept that my brother, and whoever he is, supports the Turkish occupation state in the attacks launched against the People’s Defense Forces, HPG, we will never accept that fratricidal fighting occurs."

Amin expressed his regret for the involvement of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) mercenaries from Roj in the attacks launched by the Turkish occupation state against the HPG, and said: "We must not be tools in the hands of others, we must be defenders of our land."

Hamza Saleh Elias, aged 65, resident of the city of Qamishlo, whose son Sami joined the ranks of Roj mercenaries 8 years ago, categorically refused the cooperation of Roj mercenaries with the Turkish occupation state and the involvement of his son in the attacks launched by Turkey against HPG fighters, "Involving our sons in these attacks is a grave mistake," he said. Mohammad Siddiq's son, Mustafa, joined the Roj mercenaries 8 years ago, and said: "If my son is involved in the attacks against HPG, he will lay down his arms and will not fight. We will never accept that my son fights his fellow countrymen."

Ibrahim explained that the Turkish occupation state is the enemy of the Kurdish people, and that whoever supports the enemy is hostile to his people, and said: "He who supports the enemy is an enemy for us."

Nazir Ramadan Khalil, who also has a son in the ranks of Roj’s mercenaries, named Basil (27 years old), expressed his categorical refusal to involve his son in the attacks against the HPG, and said: “He who accepts this matter is an enemy of the Kurds, not Kurdish.”
