Kobane: Kurdistan Mountains unleashed by chemical weapons

A number of intellectuals of the city of Kobane condemned the use by Turkish occupation army of chemical weapons as they showed no astonishment on the international silence that deal according to interests to break the will of the Kurdish people.

Since the onslaught undertaken by the Turkish occupation army on 23 April the last against the Peoples' Defense Forces, chemical weapons have been used by the Turkish army at least 323 times against the guerrilla fighters from April to October.

On the issue, poet and member in the Kobane Intellectuals' Union Izet Hebesh says ;;'' the aim of using chemical weapons against the guerrilla fighters is to eradicate the Kurds wherever they exist not only in Kurdistan. From the very establishment of the Turkish state officials consider Kurds as their mere enemies. This is not strange to us to use such a weapons against such a peaceful people''.

''Turkey believes itself the great empire of Ottomans that it seeks to rejuvenate. Turkey fears Kurds would be united once again for which it seeks to annihilate the Kurds, but it is doomed to fell to the ground,'' Hebesh said.

''what happens on Kurdistan Moutains brings to the memory the massacre of Halabja that claimed the lives of 5000 men, women and children after been unleashed by chemical weapons by the dictator Saddam. Turkish officials are not very different from Saddam. They are obsessed with the idea of annihilating the Kurds', he said.

In turn writer and member of the Kobane Intellectuals' Union Henifi Ismet says '' the Kurds ought not to believe that the chemical weapons used will not affect them in other parts. Turkish state seeks to uproot the Kurds which are deeply established on mountains for this it fight the guerrilla to occupy this sacred land''.

Henifi says the aim of the Turkish occupation state is to deport and displace the Kurds. The scenario that was enacted in north eastern Syria occupied areas after using every evil species of internationally prohibited weapons under the nose of the whole world that remained looking without moving a finger, for Turkey is using the weapons they sell it.
