Egyptian MP demands removal of PKK from "terror list"

 The Kurdistan Digital Media Council announced, in a statement yesterday, that it will launch on the 26 of November a hashtag campaign;  To remove the PKK from the terrorism list.

 The Egyptian parliamentarian, member of the House of Representatives and deputy President of the Tajmua Party, Atef Maghawry, published a post on his pages on social media, in which he called for removing the name of the PKK from the “terror list.”

 Atef Maghawry said in his post:

 "The Kurdistan Workers' Party expresses the activity of the revolutionary forces, and it is escalating the political struggle in Turkey to secure the rights of the Kurdish people who are unable to express themselves because of the arbitrary policies of the Ottoman eras, since the establishment of the Turkish Republic until now.

 It is also requested from the Turkish and global political forces as well to provide the opportunity for the PKK to establish its existence in addition to removing it from the "terror list".

 I am confident that this struggle full of great sacrifices is an expression of the demands and ideas of the peoples of Turkey, and that the main goals are within the Turkish state, and according to the words of the fighter Abdullah Ocalan, for the sake of building a multi-national state and for building Kurdish nationalism in Turkey, which includes under its banner all nationalities, sects, religions, all races in Turkey, and that is why I think that there must be a struggle in this form and with these goals.

 Therefore, removing the the PKK from the terrorist list is a major action for all forces seeking to secure the rights and demands of peoples and their aspirations for freedom and liberation.  This is also the demand of all revolutionary forces and all parties calling for building democratic civil societies.

 Therefore, I agree with all the possibilities for the right of the PKK to political work inside Turkey, like the rest of the forces, and to remove its name from the list of terrorism, because terrorism is not a branch of its activities.  I think his struggle is a struggle for freedom.

 Political forces struggle in different ways and forms to achieve their goals, and among these forms is armed fighting to prove their existence.  She also gave a lot of blood and sacrifices and achieved many victories."
