A short while ago, an unidentified drone bombed the outskirts of the city of Albu Kamal in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where Iranian and pro-Iranian groups are stationed, as plumes of smoke were seen rising from the outskirts of the city, without information about casualties so far, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

This comes days after the Iranian groups’ flags were removed from some of their military posts and headquarters in the city of Abu Kamal, and were replaced with internationally recognized Syrian flags for fear of targeting.

On November 12, the Syrian Observatory monitored that groups loyal to Iran removed their flags from the top of the “cultural center” and some of its military headquarters in the city of Albu Kamal, and replaced them with the internationally recognized Syrian flags for fear of targeting operations that might affect them.

According to the observatory, on November 10, at least 7 people from groups affiliated with Iran were killed as a result of the “unknown” aerial targeting by drones on sites and depots of weapons and ammunition in the city of Albu Kamal in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
