Intellectuals determine best ways of confronting special war

The Turkish occupation attempts through the special war against north and east Syria, to recrui agents within the society, and spreading strife and rumors keeping youth away from the real goals of building a free moral society, spreading chaos and destabilizing the region.

On the issue, Ahmed Al- Youssef, co-chair of the Union of Intellectuals in Manbij and its countryside said: "The colonial countries in recent years pursued the special war, through two axes: cultural and media, and the practice of disinformation through the media, to change the concepts, principles, customs and traditions in which society is based. ".

He indicated that "the goal of this war is to control society, that colonial countries begin with a cultural invasion before the military one to control the society more easily, which is vulnerable to corruption, drugs and immigration, especially the youth."

Ahmed added, "since the youth are the active group in society, therefore, the war affects them more, due to their lack of maturity, so they become prey to this war that depends on cultural invasion to keep them away from their reality and their responsibilities".

Ahmed noted that "many youth are trying to emigrate to search for a better life as they think," calling on the society to confront this phenomenon, adhere to its morals, values and principles, and its land and urge its children to love the homeland, and to defend their beliefs, civilization and culture.

At the conclusion of his speech, he appealed to the youth to be aware of confronting the special war and to take their responsibility towards their homeland and defend it.

In his turn, Muhammad Qabrtay, the co-chair of the Culture and Art Committee in Manbij and its countryside explained, "The special war has many goals, and has big impact on societies, especially on youth, who suffer from panic, fear, anxiety and despair from reality, which make many of them to emigrate"

Qabrtay explained that "the special war is a war to change behaviors and convictions, so the youth and people must rely on trusted sources, do not believe false news, and not be afraid, because we live in our country, and we must stand united against this war."

Qabrtay concluded "Society must possess mental strength, be capable of confronting the special war, and ideologically deepening in reading history, because it is the basis for facing challenges."
