Under  pretext of "walking", Turkish occupation authorities impose disciplinary sanctions on leader Ocalan

 Information indicated that the Imrali prison administration imposed disciplinary sanctions on Ocalan in September 2018 under the pretext of “walking,” and prevented him from meeting with his family for three months, as Abdullah Ocalan, after practicing basketball and volleyball, under the pretext of walking with his other companions in Imrali prison into meetings and dialogues, disciplinary penalties were imposed on him by the Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee after investigations were conducted with him and he was prevented from meeting for a period of three months on September 14, 2018.

  Abdullah Ocalan submitted an objection to this punishment to the Execution Court in Bursa, and explained that walking is one of the regular forms of movement in prisons, and it has been prohibited, and that this error must be corrected, according to Furat News Agency.

 It is noteworthy that the disciplinary punishment imposed on leader Ocalan was mentioned in the report of the European Committee against Torture in Prisons, which was issued on August 6, 2020, during its visit on May 16 and 17, 2019 to Imrali prison.
