Abdi: The region is on threshold of new stage, we to find projects for all the obstacles

The Abdi's speech came during a televised intervention at the founding conference of the Alliance of Civil Society Organizations in northeastern Syria, which lasted for two days, in the city of Qamishlo.

 Abdi added, "We, as the Syrian Democratic Forces, with the help of the institutions of the Autonomous Administration, will support civil society organizations hand in hand to develop all areas in the region."

 The conference is the first of its kind in the region, attended by the majority of organizations and civil society associations operating in the region to “strengthen means of cooperation and joint coordination.”

 He indicated that “civil society organizations are an essential party that can play a major role in the process of democratic change and support and development of society.”

 The commander stressed the "firm support for the coalition of civil society organizations," and expressed his hope that the organizations "will take new steps towards development and democracy."

 He also stressed the importance of protection from the continuing threats to the region.
