Thousands of Afrin residents demonstrated to condemn the conspiracy that began against the leader Abdullah Ocalan on October 9^th, 1998.

Speech was delivered by the member of the Kongra Star Coordination      for Afrin canton, Sherine Hassan, in which she touched upon the goals of the conspiracy, and said: "The leader Ocalan seeks, through his thought, to create a social revolution based on the freedom of man and woman in particular."

Sherine added: "The mentality put forward by the leader was popular among the oppressed peoples, and this is what the capitalist countries did not want, and therefore they plotted against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, thinking that they were able to extinguish the flame that he ignited for us, but the opposite happened, as he continued the constant struggle. for our people."

For his part, a member of the Leader’s Committee Abdullah Ocalan, Ferzanda Munzer, confirmed that: “In the seventies and eighties of the last century, the resistance movements were subjected to liquidation operations by hostile countries, but another spark appeared, this time in Kurdistan, at the hands of the leader Abdullah Ocalan and began A broad resistance aimed at democracy and freedom."

During his speech, Munzer pointed out that the commander turned Imrali into a source of knowledge: "The leader made Imrali prison a source of light and science, and from there enlightenment began and spread throughout the world."

On the conspiracy, Munzer commented: "Turkey was founded to destroy freedom movements, and for this we always see its efforts to obliterate and suppress all democracy and freedom movements and their hostility to all, especially the freedom movement of Kurdistan."

In conclusion, the demonstrators chanted slogans vowing to struggle until the liberation of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.
