Şengal's DAA: PDK tries to enter Şengal under pretext of electoral propaganda

 The Autonomous Administration in made a statement to the public opinion about the attempt by the Democratic Party forces to enter Şengal.

 According to Roj News, the members of the Democratic Autonomous Administration Council in Şengal met today, Sunday, in Sinuni district, and made a statement about the incident that occurred yesterday, Saturday, and the statement was read by the council's co-chairman, Marwan Badal.

 The statement indicated that the agreement signed on October 9, 2020 between Baghdad and Erbil governments opposes the Yazidi community, noting that after this agreement the Democratic Party's attempts to enter Şengal ncreased, but were thwarted.

 He explained that the Democratic Party seeks to bring its forces to Şengal under the pretext of electoral propaganda, "So far, no one has been prevented from campaigning in Şengal, and this obstruction appeared yesterday in Şengal, where it was said that the road was closed to the party delegation, which was on the agenda before  20 days. They also wanted to return the members of the seventeenth branch of the Democratic Party to Şengal, and the person in charge of this branch is Ashti Kojer," noting that "attempts to return this branch were also part of the anti-Şengal agreement."

 The statement continued, "we do not accept this policy against the Yazidis in any way, and before the Democratic Party forces attempted to enter Şengal, we warned them not to enter."

 The Autonomous Administration’s statement confirmed that the Kurdistan Democratic Party did not respond to the administration’s warning, and used the elections as a pretext to enter Şengal under the cover of electoral propaganda, and then turn the Yazidi shrines into party barracks, adding by saying: “A delegation of senior Yezidi clerics wanted on a previous visit to Sharaf al-Din's shrine, but party officials did not allow them to visit, but for Branch 17 officials, the shrine is a party base, and we did not accept this and strongly opposed it."

 The DAA pointed out in its statement that "if the electoral process will be conducted democratically everywhere, we make it clear that no one respects democracy as we do, as long as they do not allow our Yezidi parties to work there, we will not allow them either, but try to enter Şengal with them."  It has nothing to do with the election campaign, they wanted to open their party bases here, and a large number of Peshmerga were ready to enter Shingal."

 Yesterday, Saturday, a large force of the KDP tried to enter Şengal, but the people prevented their entry.
