Girê Spi district council meets with Russian officers

This took place during a lengthy meeting that brought together the co-chairman of the Girê Spy County Council, Laila Masho, Hamid al-Abed and Vice-President Sabri Nabo, with a military delegation from the Russian military base in Ain Issa district.

 The Russian military delegation was headed by General Alexander, who is responsible for the Russian military bases deployed in the region.

The discussion centered on the continuous violations of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries in the countryside of Girê Spî district, stressing the need to adhere to the agreement and the pledges made by the Russian state during the Sochi meeting held on October 9, 2019.

 After the meeting ended, our agency held a meeting with the co-chair of the district council, Leila Masho, in which she spoke about the meeting, as she assured us that they informed the Russian side that the continuation of violations and violations undermine stability, and question their role in monitoring the ceasefire and Turkish transgressions towards their areas.

 "During our meeting with the delegation, we stressed the need to abide by their commitments, to observe the ceasefire, and to ensure the protection of civilians," Laila added.

 And she added, "We told them that we are upset that they have not fulfilled their repeated promises to cease fire and monitor abuses, while the bombing and daily violations are still continuing, the most recent of which was the Al-Safawiyeh massacre in Ain Issa district, in which an entire family was killed and wounded, in addition to the brutal military escalation through the bombing that  It has been witnessed in the western Girê Spî countryside over the past two days.”

At the conclusion of her speech, Leila pointed out that the Russian side pledged to stand up to its pledges to the region, and to prevent the Turkish side from targeting villages and the international road, and that it is recording all violations and massacres committed by Turkey, to submit them later to the International Court.
