Detainees' families: Turkish authorities still violates international laws

Since November 27^th, 2020, detainees in Turkish and Bakur prisons have launched an indefinite hunger strike in protest against the isolation imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan and the violation of prisoners' rights. The hunger strike has been under way for more than 280 days by a group of 50 people.

Indeed, the Turkish authorities continue in committing atrocities against detainees, we, the families of the detainees, strongly condemn this injustice against the detainees. We will continue our struggle against injustice and fascism until the physical freedom of the political detainees and leader Abdullah Ocalan is achieved. "

Leila Khalil concluded: "We, the families of the political detainees in Rojava and Afrin IDPs, call on the international community and human rights organizations to fulfil their responsibilities. It is time to release leader Abdullah Ocalan and the political detainees. "
