Manbij.. Turkish occupation targets villages inhabited by civilians

Villages north and west of the city of Manbij, adjacent to the areas of Syria occupied by Turkey, have been bombarded and targeted on an almost daily basis as Turkey escalated its targeting of these villages, inhabited by civilians.

The bombing operations are launched from the bases established by the Turkish occupation in the occupied countryside of Jarablus and Al-Bab, using heavy and medium weapons, especially cannons, tanks and heavy machine guns.

Our agency visited Al-Sayada village (23 km) north of Manbij, which is subjected to almost daily bombardment by the Turkish occupation, and met with one of the village's women, Amina Al-Jarrah, who said that "the bombing takes place in the late-night hours or early morning hours."

She added, "We live in our homes and our land, but the security and stability we enjoy do not appeal to the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, so they target us almost daily."

Amina explained that they leave the village when it is bombarded towards the neighboring villages, fearing for the children far from the place of the bombing, and when the shelling stops, they return to their homes.

Amina confirmed that they will not allow any occupier to expel them from their land, and preserve it from any aggressor who wants to expand his influence in the region.

Amina ended her speech by emphasizing their adherence to their land and homes, and stressed that the fate of the occupier is to disappear no matter how long it takes.

The escalation in the countryside of Manbij comes in light of the continued bombardment of villages in the areas of al-Shahba and the countryside of Ain Issa district, Girê Spî and SerêKaniyê.
