The people of more than 45 villages and residents of Zerkan town have been suffering from electricity cut for more than a month, due to the direct targeting of the electricity network by mercenaries.

The co-chair of the Tel Tamr Electricity Center, Fahd Samaila, told our agency, "On the 29th, we maintained the 20 kV line, which supplies the villages of Zerkan district and the town center with electricity," and added, "But after several hours, the same line was targeted by the occupation and its mercenaries, which caused cutting off electricity to more than 45 villages and the town center.

With the presence of mercenaries close to the affected areas, it is difficult for maintenance teams to reach them.

"The Zerkan line 20 kV was targeted, opposite the village of Dardara, and we tried to maintain the line, but we could not, because the site is 400 meters away from the mercenaries' points on Manakh hill," Sumaila said.

We are working to deliver electricity to Zerkan as soon as possible

Sumaila added, "We, as the Tel Tamer Electricity Center, have conducted a statistic of the damages in the villages of Khirbet al-Shaer, Tal al-Ward and Sheikh Ali, as a result of their targeting by the occupation and its mercenaries. and his mercenaries."

Noting, "We, know the extent of the suffering of the people of those villages as a result of the power cut, which affects the water supply."

The co-chair of the Tel Tamer Electricity Center added, "We are trying very hard to maintain the downs in that area, coordinating with the concerned authorities so that we can reach them as soon as possible."
