Khalil Abdo: We do not trust major powers; rely on self-protection to counter Turkish threats.

Member of the Relations Office in the Syrian Democratic Council, Khalil Abdo, said, "Turkey is trying to occupy new areas in the north and east of Syria and to consolidate its occupation of the areas it occupied previously, taking advantage of the US and international preoccupation with Afghanistan."

Khalil Abdo added, "The Turkish state is pursuing a special war policy, including emptying the region of its youth, by opening its borders, and with this step it aims to empty the region of young people."

Abdo indicated that Turkey is working to implement its plan in the occupied areas by imposing demographic change "along the border stripes of Syria, by coming to the IDPs from the areas inside Syria and offering them to work as mercenaries for it in exchange for securing housing for these."

Khalil Abdo pointed out that Turkey is trying to prevent stability in the region by carrying out attacks on NE, Syria, and thus benefiting from the Syrian mercenaries that it has recruited for it.

Member of Public Relations in the Syrian Democratic Council confirmed that Turkey threatens the NE, Syria "to implement its deals with major countries such as Russia and America," adding, "At the same time, despite the Russian and American presence, they were unable to stop Turkish threats and ambitions."

He stressed, "We in the Syrian Democratic Council count on the internal forces and self-protection of the region, and all components, parties and military blocs in north and east Syria join forces to protect the region from any threat."
