Founding Conference of "National Initiative for Afrin" held in Germany's Bonn

 The conference started today, Sunday, in the presence of dozens of politicians, intellectuals, journalists and political activists, with a minute of silence, then the participants elected the office of the conference.

 After that, the Court presented a summary of the agenda of the Founding Conference, which is expected to continue until afternoon.

The conference seeks to communicate the voice of the Kurdish people in Afrin to the international decision-making centers to pressure the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries to withdraw from Afrin canton and open the way for thfoAfrin's IDPs to return to their homes and looted property with international guarantees.

 On this, a member of the preparatory committee for the conference, Hussein Fiqh, told our agency, via the “WhatsApp” that the conferees will elect a management for the initiative, which in turn will form several committees through which it will perform the task of communicatinh the voice of the people of Afrin to the centers of international decision-making.

According to Fiqh, a human rights committee and another will be formed to document and archive the crimes of the occupation, a third diplomatic committee to communicate the crimes of the occupation to international institutions and organizations, and a fourth committee to introduce the culture and art of Afrin, and there will also be a media committee.

At the end of the founding conference, the meeting is scheduled to issue a statement explaining the mechanism of action of the initiative and all the committees that will emerge from the meeting.
