The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continue their violations in the occupied areas of Girê Spî and Serêkaniyê canton after their occupation on the 9th of October of 2019, killing, kidnapping, displacing, looting property, transforming public facilities into military bases and committing massacres against unarmed civilians.

Where the Turkish occupier has recently reinforced its military bases along the lines of contact in the western countryside of Girê Spî province and Ain Issa district, and the number of its military bases has increased to 12 which it uses  for its bombing on populated villages in the countryside of Girê Spî such as the villages of "Koperlak, Abdo Koyi, Sawan, Qiz Ali, Zenobia, Khirbet al-Baqr" and other villages adjacent to the lines facing it along the M4 road.

These bases extended in the area between the village of Al-Hurriya (the western countryside of the Girê Spi district) and the village of Al-Shirqarak (the southern countryside of the district).

These rules led to the confiscation of a large number of people’s property and the displacement of entire villages in preparation for their establishment, as happened in the village of Nasiriyah near the village of Shirqarak in the northern countryside of Ain Issa district, where its people were forcibly displaced under the pretext of establishing a military base in the village.

ANHA agency monitored the transformation of the “Khirbet Fares, Mardouda, Kore and Shirkrak” schools in the western and southern countryside of Girê Spî canton to military bases lately.

These rules affected the educational process in the countryside of the province, where the spokesman for the Education Committee in the province, Saleh Missi said that the educational process has been greatly affected in the province during the past two years due to the continuous bombardment of villages located on the contact lines with the Turkish enemy, which led to the suspension of education by more than 20  A school such as “Sidon, Muallaq, Koperlak, Al-Arida, Al-Sawwan” and other schools, which were almost completely destroyed as a result of shelling with heavy weapons.

Messi was surprised by the international silence over Turkey's transformation of schools in the occupied areas into military bases and the deprivation of children of their right to education.

He called on the international community and organizations concerned with children's rights to intervene to stop the crimes of the Turkish occupier against schools by bombing and destroying them and turning them into military bases, so that children in those areas could complete their educational process.
