IDPs Afrin confirm that Turkey seeks to complete what ISIS failed to achieve

IDPs Afrin and the people of Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood denounced the two successive attacks launched by the Turkish occupation on Shengal, stressing that the latter is trying to complete the annihilation scheme that ISIS could not complete, and called for holding Turkey accountable for its crimes.

On the 16th of August, the Turkish occupation aircraft targeted Shengal province, which resulted in the the martyrdom of the Commander of the YBŞ Shengal Resistance Units, Saeed Hassan, and his nephew, a fighter in the YBŞ, Issa Xwedêda, and injuring 3 others.

On the 17th of August, the occupation warplanes targeted a Skakena Hospital in the province, killing 8 of the hospital's medical staff and fighters of the Shengal Resistance Units, in addition to wounding 4 others.

In response to the two attacks, IDPs Afrin and the people of Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood expressed their indignation and denunciation of the Turkish bombing.

Displaced Khalil Hamo denounced the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its perpetration of massacres against the people of Shengal who faced the 73rd Firman that was carried out by IS/Daesh mercenaries.

Hamo said, "What Turkey could not do through ISIS to end the presence of the Yazidi community and displace it in Shengal, it is now seeking, through the Kurdistan Democratic Party, with direct interference from it and through its UAVs, to obliterate the Yazidi culture and end their religion." He called on human rights organizations to stop the Turkish occupation and hold it accountable for the crimes it commits in Shengal, Afrin, Zergan and all the occupied territories.

For her part, displace woman Arifa Bilal referred to the genocide campaigns witnessed by the Yazidis, and said: "The Yazidi community was subjected to many Firmans, the last of which was achieved by IS/ Daeh, who enslaved Yazidi women, and shed Yazidi's blood and violated their dignity.

She went to say" IDPs Afrin are resisting in the camps and semi destroyed homes in Shahba canton, support Shengal resistance in repelling Turkish occupation and its allies."

As for the displaced, Abd Rahman Khalil, he called on the Security Council and international human rights and human rights organizations to curb the Turkish occupation, stop it and hold it accountable for its crimes against the people of Afrin, Shengal and all the occupied territories.

Suleiman Khalil also expressed his condemnation of the attacks of the Turkish occupation state on Shengal, Shahba, and north and east Syria, and said: "Turkey is attacking with its warplanes the people of Shengal to sow fear in them and displace them and strike the Autonomous Administration project there, in cooperation with the Kurdistan Democratic Party," noting that the latter's actions "betrayal" right of the Kurds.

Speaking about the attacks on Shahba canton, north and east of Syria, Khalil condemned Russia's silence and its supportive stance of the occupation in its almost daily bombing of IDPs Afrin with missiles and rockets, and said: "Russia must put pressure on the Turkish state and stop it from targeting the region and its people."

Mohammad Ali said that "the international and Russian silence regarding the attacks in the north and east of Syria and Shahba is an indication of the existence of an agreement with Turkey, if it had not been their silence, would not have been happened these violations."

While Tulin Omar indicated that Turkey did not stop its crimes against the Kurdish people, especially the Yazidi community, pointing out that what happened in Shengal in 2014 in at ISIS' hands is being repeated today by the Turkish army by targeting civilians and committing massacres against them.

At the end of her speech, Tolin Omar criticized the international silence regarding these massacres committed against the peoples of the region, and addressed the international community by saying: "You are partners in these massacres with Turkey."
