YBŞ announces C. Sayed Hussen martyrdom by Turkish occupation aircraft attack on Shengal

This came through a statement issued by the General Command of the Shengal Resistance Units to the public opinion, in which it revealed the results of the Turkish occupation’s air attacks on Shengal today.

Today in Shengal center, on the old market road, one of our cars was targeted by the Turkish occupation's reconnaissance planes. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of YBŞ Commander, Sayed Hussein and his nephew, the fighter in YBŞ ranks, Issa Khodida, while 3 civilians were wounded, and they are "Medya Qassem Semo, Shamer Abbas Barjas and Mirza Ali."

These fascist attacks aimed at exterminating the Yazidi people are not new. These Turkish occupation attacks are a continuation of the genocidal attacks targeting the Yazidi people. It is an attack on the rights of the Yazidis and a targeting of self-defense and the Autonomous Administration of the Yazidi people.

Just as "Mam Zaki" was targeted by the Turkish fascist state 3 years ago, today, with the same goal, Commander Sayed who has been fighting for years so that the Yazidi people can gain their freedom, organize and manage themselves, has been targeted. In order for the Yazidi people to protect themselves, he took upon himself the task of leadership, and played a major role in confronting the attacks on the front lines. He also became the mouthpiece of the Yazidi people in order to show the suffering of the Yazidi people in the political arena. To protect Yazidis, he became a source of strength and faith for his people.

The blood of the great martyr and noble commander, Comrade Sayed, will not be in vain, and our struggle and resistance will continue until the Turkish fascism is defeated, and in the spirit of sacrifice and redemption, thousands of fighters will continue his path of struggle and resistance.

We appeal to all of our Yazidi people and our Kurdish people to raise their voices against the attacks of fascism, stand by the martyrs and achieve justice for them.

We promise Martyr Sayed, Martyr Mam Zaki and Martyr Issa that we will fulfill their dreams of reaching a free, democratic and independent Shengal and protect our people. We promise to guarantee victory by following the martyrs' path.
