Kongra Star on August 15 Leap: A qualitative awakening on freedom path

Kongra Star coordination congratulated the 37th anniversary of the August 15 leap, stressing that the leap was a qualitative awakening on the path to freedom, breaking the chains of enslavement and tyranny, and the day of resurrection for the Kurdish people.

Kongra Star in Rojava issued a statement to the public opinion regarding the 37th anniversary of the August 15 leap, a copy of which we have received.

The statement confirmed that the August 15th leap awakened the Kurdish people from their slumber that extended for many years.

The statement continued, "On the thirty-seventh anniversary, which is entering its thirty-eighth year, it was a leap for freedom and the restoration of confidence to the Kurdish people, who suffered the scourge of the oppression and tyranny of the occupying rulers of Kurdistan, and it was a qualitative awakening on the path to freedom and breaking the shackles of enslavement and tyranny and the day of resurrection of the Kurdish people, especially after the revolutions and uprisings." The Kurdish forces that were suppressed, and the genocides these revolutions witnessed.”

The statement referred to the resistance to Amed's imprisonment: "The spark of the leap that began with the resistance of the prisons, the flame of the body of Mazloum Dogan, the strike of the resistance to Kamal Bir, Mohammad Khairy Dermoush and all their comrades to the mountains of freedom, and the first bullet in the heart of Turkish fascism, by meeting the sons and daughters of the Kurdish people and all their companions in the path of freedom." On the thought and philosophy of leader Abdullah Ocalan, who has become the philosophy of free life for all the peoples of the region and who have heeded the call for all peoples to join together in the free will that cannot be broken again. That is the will of the peoples of the entire region to achieve a free and dignified life in all its components and segments, women and men and youth and the gains made in the freedom revolution in the parts of Kurd.

At the conclusion of its statement today, Kongra Star coordination congratulated the leader Abdullah Ocalan and all the freedom martyrs in the person of the martyr revolutionary leader Akeed (Masoum Korkmaz), the Kurdish people in general and all the peoples who were inspired by strength, will and confidence in order to follow in the footsteps of the martyrs.
