​​​​​​​Commanders in MMC: Manbij Liberation was a new dawn

This year, on August 15^th, the people of Manbij are celebrating the fifth anniversary of the liberation of Manbij city and its countryside from ISIS mercenaries, after battles that lasted 72 days, and it was one of the most influential defeats suffered by ISIS in the context of the war on mercenaries.

As Manbij city formed the link between the west and the mercenaries' deployment areas in Syria and Iraq, foreigners used to flock through Turkey to the Syrian border and then to Manbij city and from there to the rest of the areas they occupied. The liberation of Manbij was a strong military strike that cut off the supply route for the mercenaries.

Salvation from injustice

Commander of the Manbij Military Council, Omar Mazarli, who is one of the participants in the campaign, says that they are proud of Manbij liberation because they fulfilled their promise to martyrs to rid people of ISIS mercenaries' oppression and injustice.

He pointed out that the people were very happy when their forces arrived because they got out of death and because their sons were among the military forces that saved them from injustice.

Commander of the Manbij Military Council, Abu Ammar Manbij, says that "e had a strong and great motive to liberate our city, Manbij city, from darkness and black terrorism, in addition to the fact that Manbij city is a strategic and of great importance in the region, and the supply routes for ISIS mercenaries at that time were from the west all the way to Syria and Iraq.

Abu Ammar pointed out that the people celebrate this anniversary to this day, which changed the course of their lives towards freedom and democracy.

He noted that "the joy was indescribable, as the joy of liberation coincided with the Eid, but the city has become almost deserted from the sabotage left by mercenaries from planting explosive devices in homes."

At the end of his speech, Commander of the Manbij Military Council, Abu Ammar Manbij, promised the martyrs to follow their footsteps and achieve the goals for which they were martyred.

It is worth mentioning that after the liberation of Manbij, security and stability prevailed in the city, but soon Turkey emerged as a new threat to the security of the areas of north and east Syria, including Manbij, as the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries target the northern and western villages of Manbij almost daily, endangering the lives of thousands of civilians.
