Remziye Mohamed: feminist conference made great victory

Spokesperson for the Kongra Star Coordination Remziye Mohamed considered the Second Feminist Middle Eastern and North Africa a great victory for all women noting that matters that were discussed were positive and all participants got an idea on Rovaja and NES feminist works.

The Second Feminist Middle Eastern and North Africa Conference was convened in Beirut on 30 and 31 July after almost eight years of the Amed Conference in Southern Kurdistan 2013.

Spokesperson for the Kongra Star Coordination Remziye Mohamed congratulated the conference to all freedom seeking martyrs considering it’s a great victory in this critical phase.

Remziye told ANHA '' all discussions were positive, all women shown solidarity in their discussions''.

Remziye noted that about a hundred personages from different countries took part in the conference while women from Palestine, Afghanistan and Northern Kurdistan could not take part in the conference due to security situation' the conference met success for both participant women and non-participants''.

According to Remziye ''political, cultural and social experiments for each feminist association in the Middle East were discussed in addition to the way of facing the patriarchal mentality imposed on women and gains made by women in these revolutions as well as feminist struggle and protecting women''.

On the table was also the women experiment in NES that is known as the Women Revolution '' some women had never heard of the feminist struggle in NES but they were all informed on the idea as some personalities expressed will to visit the region''.

At the end the conference made some recommendations and decisions the most important of which forming a regional feminist committee to define vision and aims and strategy and formulating a road map within maximum six months and also a regional feminist alliance to adopt an overall vision and to stand to all kinds of occupation and forced displacement and demographic change and assassinations, exclusion, unemployment, marginalization, poverty and the authoritarian patriarchal mentality.
