Thousands of al-Jazira region people celebrate July 19th Revolution

On the occasion of the ninth anniversary of the July 19th Revolution, the festive activities organized by the Autonomous Administration in al-Jazira region were launched, under the slogan "In Spirit of the July 19th Revolution, We Will Defeat Occupation and Guarantee Victory."

The March 12^th Stadium is witnessing a huge public gathering to celebrate the anniversary of the July 19^th Revolution which became the main nucleus for the establishment of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, which includes all components, races and religions led by women.

Thousands of people from al-Jazira region, including Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Turkmen and Circassians flocked to Qamishlo city to participate in the celebration, wearing their traditional folk costume.

The stadium which has become a legacy for Kurds since 2004 was decorated with banners with "Autonomous Administration is our administration", "Long live the peoples' fraternity", "From the revolution homeland, long live the Guerillas' resistance" written on, the flags of Kongra Star, the Democratic Union Party, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, the Martyrs' Families Council, pictures of the freedom martyrs who sacrificed their blood for the July 19^th Revolution, and pictures of Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The voices of people are getting louder, saluting the July 19^th Revolution at times and denouncing the Turkish occupation's presence in north and east of Syria at other times.

While the war-wounded described by Leader Ocalan as "living martyrs" take a prominent place in the celebration, as Leader Ocalan says about them, "The word of war-wounded is a word that contains important meanings like the word martyrdom. Rather, it carries values and meanings equivalent to the great resistance that took place in prisons, and the heroic resistance on the war fronts. Life suits you on the great martyrs' path."

When the people arrived at the stadium, they held a minute of silence in tribute for the martyrs of freedom and dignity.
