Talal Mohammed: Our purpose to meet requirements of NE Syria people

Talal Mohammed explained that the aim of the reformulation of the Social Contract was to meet all economic, political and social requirements of the people and components of north and east Syria.

The meeting of the General Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria resulted in a mini-commission to reformulate the Social Contract, which would be a basic charter for all members of AANES' areas, from which all laws would derive their strength.

Co-chair of the Kurdistan Democratic Peace Party and member of the drafting committee of Social Contract, that consist of 30 members, Talal Mohamed, talked to ANHA about the decision to reformulate the Social Contract was a decision of the General Council of the Autonomous Administration, which was linked to the output of the "National Conference of Jazira and Euphrates Regions".

Syrian Democratic Council, the SDC, organized the National Conference of Jazria and Euphrates on 25 November the last, with participation of some 300 members from all sects in north and east Syria, representatives of political forces and parties, independent personalities, elders and clans and representatives of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the Syrian Democratic Forces, the SDC, which resulted in the re-evaluation and training of the work and performance of the staff of the administration, and to promote the development, empowerment and expansion of the department with technocrats.

Talal Mohammed noted that one outputs of the National Conference of Jazira and Euphrates was the existence of a Social Contract to organize work among the 7 councils, both Civil and Autonomy in North and East Syria, saying:" We, the political parties, clans and civil and social organizations, have been late in taking this step, because the councils have been elected and no elections have been held for the regions and departments, "the reason was Turkish attacks on Afrin canton, then on the rest of north and east Syria.

Talal Mohammed stressed that the mini-commission for the Reformulation of the Social Contract would consult specialists in this area, in order to prepare it in an exemplary manner appropriate to the economic, political and social requirements of all the people and components of north and east Syria.

The General Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has given the Committee for the Reformulation of the Social Contract no longer than two months to reformulate the Contract.

Talal Mohammed did not rule out a referendum on the Social Contract for north and east Syria after it had been finalized.
