Woman bitterly narrates her story in Turkish occupation’s prisons: Serêkaniyê, hotbed of ISIS

(H,M), one of the women who were arrested by the Turkish intelligence inside occupied Serêkaniyê, recounted the stories she lived in those prisons and the crimes against them, and confirmed that Serêkaniyê has become the kingdom of ISIS and a new focus of terrorism.

With the occupation of the city of Serêkaniyê in late 2019, the Turkish occupation and the mercenaries of the so-called "Syrian National Army" resorted to committing systematic crimes and violations against the people, most notably arbitrary arrests and false charges and luring them into its lands to be tried according to its laws.

The occupation was not satisfied with arresting young men, as it also arrested dozens of women, and they are tortured and humiliated, in addition to the rapes inside the detention centers, according to witnesses.

Our agency was able to reach one of the women who were arrested by the occupation and managed to get out of their prisons, to tell the stories she lived behind the bars of the Turkish occupation prisons.

(H,M), who preferred not to reveal her face and name for security reasons, told our agency: "After occupying the city of Serêkaniyê, I returned to the city to see my home and property and what happened to them, but when I arrived home, and after a few days I only saw the Turkish intelligence and with it a number of mercenaries and they arrested me."

She was arrested on charges of working with SDF!!

The charges against the people in order to imprison them vary and force them to be displaced to carry out demographic change operations in the occupied areas, and the most prominent charges for which arrests are made are dealing with the Autonomous Administration or the Syrian Democratic Forces.

(H,M) says their accusation against me was ready, which is working with the Syrian Democratic Forces, to begin the process of torture for several months, and the method of torture was electricity, drowning in water, beatings, foot whipping, and torture through the hanging upside down.

She added, "It was not only me who was tormented, but there were also a number of women who were humiliated and tortured in hideous ways, all by the Turks and their intelligence."

Bitter stories at prison

(H,M) told the story of a number of detainees at the mercenaries' prisons, but in different branches, and she said: "In the city police branch, a girl named (H), an orphan and a minor from the village of Rasm Al-Hajar was raped by three mercenaries and their leader is Saad Kaitoun, who is a coordinator in Turkish intelligence.

About the second story, she says, "The mercenaries arrested (Kh) a Kurd of the city residents, after torturing him for two days, he lost his life. Then the mercenaries cut up his body and sent his body parts to his relatives, to show that he died as a result of an explosion."

Each faction has its own prison

(H,M) confirmed that there are many prisons within the city, and each faction owns several prisons within its sectors. It also transformed the homes of civilians into prisons, and continued: "The mercenaries arrest civilians on ready-made charges, which is to work with the Autonomous Administration, so that the detainees' families are asked for ransoms after their torture, and Among the prisons, there are women's prisons.

Under threat, detainees are forced to speak before the cameras that they are affiliated with SDF

In the context of the meeting, (H,M) said, "During our presence in the prison, the Turkish intelligence and mercenaries had arrested new people, and after torturing them, they force them to speak in front of the cameras and that they are affiliated to the Syrian Democratic Forces, which sent us to carry out bombing operations, and if we do not say that, they beat and torture us more, even threaten to kill us and not release us."

She stressed that "there are dozens of young men and women detained under flimsy charges, and women in particular are insulted with stories of honor by the occupation and its mercenaries."

Serêkaniyê, the way to capture ISIS from al-Hol camp to Turkey

H,M notes that while she was in prison, the Turkish occupation brought 42 women, accompanied by two young men and six children, all of them ISIS women, including leaders, and a number of the injured, to Turkey by order of the Turkish intelligence.

She says, "Among the ISIS women were of different nationalities, including (Japanese, Russian, Chechen, Korean, and Turkish) who were smuggled from al-Hol camp by a fuel tanker to be entered into the occupied city of Tel Abyad and handed over to the Turks and lured to Turkey through the gate by Turkish intelligence."

She added, "We can say that the city of Serêkaniyê has become the kingdom of ISIS, as Zorava neighborhood (Hwarna) has become a focus for ISIS with their families, and we confirmed this through their behavior and dress, and all of them entered the city after fleeing from Al-Hol camp, Al-Baghouz and from Deir Al-Zour."

The international community must intervene to save the innocent

Regarding the reality of the city, (H,M) said, "You cannot live inside Serêkaniyê, as it has become the kingdom of ISIS and a hotbed of terrorism and crimes, so that crimes within that city are committed on a daily basis, including rape, robbing and killings."

(H,M) called on international, human rights and humanitarian organizations to enter the city as soon as possible and get the mercenaries out.
