Observatory: Explosions and overflights after bombing Al-Omar base

The Syrian Observatory said that unknown explosions resounded in the city of al-Mayadeen, which is controlled by the Iranian forces in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, coinciding with the flight of “Global Coalition” warplanes over the area, and it is not known yet whether the explosions were caused by the bombing of aircraft or the heavy weapons that were targeted The American base in the Al-Omar oil field a while ago.

The sources of the Syrian Observatory monitored the withdrawal of Iranian forces from the areas from which they were bombed, south of the city of Al-Mayadeen, and their redeployment in residential neighborhoods inside the city.

Several artillery shells fell in the “Al-Omar” oil field and the field’s residences in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the US forces take it as a military base, which led to material losses without information about casualties so far.

The sources of the Syrian Observatory reported that the Iranian forces targeted the American base from its positions in the countryside of Deir Ezzor.

This comes, hours after US forces targeted locations and gatherings of these forces at the Syrian-Iraqi border.
