Anthony Blinken announces $436 m additional humanitarian aid provided to Syria

Blinken added at a press conference at the conclusion of the meeting of the International Coalition against ISIS, that his country and the coalition seek to prevent the emergence of ISIS, especially in the continent of Africa.

During the ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition against ISIS, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken called on the countries whose citizens joined ISIS to resettle and rehabilitate them.

The US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, revealed that 10,000 ISIS mercenaries are still being held by the Syrian Democratic Forces, calling on the countries whose citizens joined ISIS to resettle and rehabilitate them.

Blinken added that there is another key element to defeating ISIS permanently, which requires addressing the organization's threats outside Iraq and Syria, and specifically in Africa.

The foreign ministers of Italy and the United States are chairing the ministerial meeting of the International Coalition against ISIS, which will be hosted in Rome on Monday.

The meeting will be attended by 83 ministers and delegations from the member states of the coalition, in addition to the foreign ministers of Arab countries.

The meeting will discuss efforts to eliminate the remnants of ISIS mercenaries in Iraq and Syria and to stop its expansion in Africa.

For its part, the Italian Foreign Ministry indicated that a mini-ministerial meeting on Syria will follow the coalition meeting.
