Afrin Council decry Ocalan isolation and international silence  

The fascist Turkish Government is still imposing severe isolation on the leader Abdulla Ocalan, despite all popular calls and campaigns for an open hunger strike in jails demanding his freedom, lifting his isolation and granting him the right of access to his lawyer and family, all of which take place amid international and global silence over the isolation imposed as contrary to all international laws.

In this context, ANHA held an interview with the members of the Afrin Canton Council, who expressed their denunciation of the continued isolation and international silence. Council member Mohammed Rashid said at the beginning of his speech:" We send our peace to leader Abdullah Ocalan and to all comrades on hunger strike in prisons of the fascist Turkish state and to all fighters demanding leader Abdullah Ocalan's freedom."

The lives of thousands of hunger strikers are at risk and humanitarian organizations remain silent."

Rashid added, "The severe isolation imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan is aimed at undermining the will of the peoples on the path of freedom and democracy that the leader has drawn for them. Although the campaign on hunger strike entered its 209 days, international organizations do not show any firm attitude towards what the Turkish State is committing against prisoners on hunger strike."

Democratic nation project is the best solution for Syria and the Middle East crises."

For her part, member of the Afrin Canton Council, Khatun Sultan said:" the Syrian crisis has entered its 11th year, and Syrians are still suffering from exodus and challenges. We live in the north and east of Syria in safety compared to the rest of Syria, thanks to Ocalan's ideology, whose main objective is co-existence and the project of a democratic nation, which embraces all the spectra of people and components without any discrimination."

They're trying to end Ocalan's ideology, but dozens of generations will remain faithful to his approach

n the same context, member Hosni Najjar said: "The project put forward by leader Abdullah Ocalan is the project of peoples' fraternity, the Turkish State and conspirators are very afraid of this project, those attacks are one of the attempts to put an end to the ideology of a leader that has been put to the people and applied in north eastern Syria, but what they seek will never be achieved and the thought will remain widespread and will be followed by dozens of future generations. "
