HPG announces killing 6 Turkish soldiers in qualitative operation in Metina area

The Media Center of the Kurdistan People's Defense Forces (HPG) issued a statement to the public opinion revealing balance sheet of the latest operations against the Turkish occupation.

The text of the statement:

On the twenty-fourth of June, Guerilla forces attacked the Turkish occupation soldiers on Kurdinah hill and managed to target them from two axes.

Metina District - Information about Guerilla operations in the context of the Khabur Revolutionary Resistance Campaign

Today, June 24, at exactly 5:40 am, Guerilla forces carried out an operation from two axes, targeting the Turkish occupation forces, which were stationed on Kurdinah hill. During the clashes, the Guerilla forces managed to kill six Turkish soldiers, destroy A4 heavy weapons, a grenade launcher, and destroy some other equipment and military fortifications.

This operation was carried out in remembrance of the spirit of the martyr and leader Fadai Zilan (Zainab Kianji).

On the 23rd June, at exactly 7:10 pm, the Turkish occupation soldiers tried to enter the Guerilla Tunnels near Girê Sor Square. Our forces confronted them vigorously and dealt them painful blows. Later, at 7:30 pm, our forces carried out a retaliatory operation using modern tactics, in which they were able to kill and wound a number of Turkish occupation soldier: the number is unknown. At eight and ten minutes in the evening, Kurdistan time, the occupation tried to advance again towards the tunnels, but they were again dealt painful blows by the guerrilla forces, forcing them to withdraw from the area.

Aerial attacks

The Turkish occupation state continues its air attacks on the Legitimate Defense Zones. On the twenty-second of this June, the Turkish occupation warplanes shelled at midnight the Warkhali Square and Tabora Arban in the Avashin area.

On the twenty-third of this June, at exactly three o'clock until three o'clock in the afternoon, Kurdistan time, the villages of Dergli and Beshli in Matina area were bombed by the Turkish occupation aircraft for three consecutive times.

The air strikes did not result in any casualties among our forces.
