AANES Foreign Relations calls for abductees fate in Southern Kurdistan be verified

Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria called on the government in Southern Kurdistan to verify the fate of the AANES representative and PYD's relation members holding security bodies and government accountable for their whereabouts.

On June 10 forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party abducted with no valid reason representative of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria to Hewler Jihad Heisen and representatives of the Union Democratic Party, the PYD, to Hewler Mustafa Othman Khaleel and member to the Political Representation of the Union Democratic Party to Hewler Mustafa Aziz Hesen as they were on way to the Erbil International Airport to welcome some guests. Since then their whereabouts is unknown as PDK did not reveal their fates.

On the issue, a statement was released by the Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria calling for verification of their fates as well as calling on international associations to cooperate and put pressure on PDK to release them.

''since June 10 fate of Mr Jihad Heisen, representative of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, and members of the Relations of Union Democratic Party, the PYD, Mustafa and Mustafa Hesen is still unknown after security authorities in Kurdistan Region abducted them with no previous notification or revealing their whereabouts. This practises do not run with diplomatic laws and values, and do not consider neither national principles nor co-struggle for the Kurdish Cause.

We hold accountable the security bodies and the Kurdistan Regional Government whole responsibility for their whereabouts, and stress that we are very concerned on their fate, as that remains unclear, up to date. We have not received any official notification on the legal reasons behind their apprehensions.

We call on the official bodies in the region as well as the relevant international associations to cooperate with us, and to put pressure on PDK and the KRG to reveal their fates, and to allow access to their relatives , and eventually to set them free for they are being detained with no valid reasons confirming that official bodies in Başur(Southern) Kurdistan are responsible for their lives''.
