Intellectuals: KDP must support Kurdish issue

At a time when the Turkish occupation army continues its attacks against legitimate defense zones in Southern Kurdistan aimed at exterminating Kurdish people and occupying Kurdistan territory, on June 10^th, the PDK kidnapped representatives of AANES and the Democratic Union Party in Southern Kurdistan, whose fate remains unknown.

Member of Intellectuals Union in Jazirah, Dham Amo spoke on the subject and expressed his regret about the positions of the Democratic Party and its abduction the youth in Rojava (Western Kurdistan) for representing the PYD and AANES. He said on the subject: " All hopes are pinned on Southern Kurdistan to one day be a supporter and in support of the Kurdish people, not to kidnap the Kurds."

Amo expressed the hope that Kurdistan Democratic Party would distance itself from the Turkish State and demand the exit of Turkish occupation forces from the territory of Southern Kurdistan. "We hope that the kidnapped representatives of AANES and the Democratic Union Party PYD will be released, because they didn't do anything to hurt the government of Southern Kurdistan, KDP must support the PKK in order to remove the Turkish occupation from Kurdistan territory. "

Also on the subject,  ANHA's correspondent visited the Office of the (PDK- Syria) in Qamishlo city, to learn about the abduction of representatives of AANES and the Democratic Union Party in Southern Kurdistan, However, party representatives refrained from making any statements on the subject.

As for Leyla Ibrahim, member of the Union of Intellectuals in Jazirah, she said, "The abduction by the PDK of representatives of AANES and PYD in Southern Kurdistan is regrettable, adding: "This action raises the question and doubts that the Kurdistan Democratic Party and Mr. Masoud Barzani should review their positions that support enemies and oppose the Kurdish people."

About the reluctance of some political parties to make any statements on the subject, Laila Ibrahim said: "Political parties must not only act in accordance with their party interests, but must act in the interests of their people."
