Defense Office in Manbij: Self-defense is moral

The co-chair of the Defense Office in the city of Manbij and its countryside, Hussein Al-Awni, affirmed that "self-defense is a human and moral duty and a legitimate right."

On the demands of some parties to cancel the duty of self-defense, Hussein al-Awni, the co-chair of the Defense Office in the city of Manbij and its countryside, stressed that "self-defense is a duty, especially the areas liberated from terrorism."

He said, "As long as there is a danger on our people, our people, and our lands, they have to defend this land that was liberated thanks to the blood of our martyers from the abomination of terrorism, and preserve its sacred duty."

Regarding the importance of the duty of self-defense, Al-Awni noted that "as for the duty of self-defense, every region must be defended by its people, whether Manbij, Tabqa, Raqqa or Deir ez-Zor.

Al-Awni continued his speech by saying: "Our regions face danger of the enemies lurking in us, who do not like the security and stability that are available in these regions in order to spread sedition and pretexts among the general public to destabilize security and stability."

He said that they are protecting their land, which they liberated with the blood of the martyrs, and they have not attacked anyone, but rather they are trying to live in safety with the help of their people.

The co-chair of the Defense Office in the city of Manbij and its countryside, Hussein Al-Awni, concluded his speech by saying: "Self-protection is important for this country, which was liberated thanks to the blood of the martyrs from terrorism, because there are malicious hands that want to sabotage and restore chaos by creating strife among the common people."
