On the fifth of this June, an armored vehicle belonging to the Peshmerga, which was among the military vehicles that attacked the Guerrilla's concentration areas, was detonated.

The People's Defense Forces issued a statement, denying responsibility for destroying the armored vehicle, and called in a later statement issued yesterday for an investigation into this incident by a joint or independent body.

Official in the Peshmerga Ministry and Military Expert, Qader Khourani, said in a post on his official account on the social networking site (Facebook) and published by Roj News Agency, "The armored vehicle that was targeted in Metina Mount was bombed by a Turkish warplane or a reconnaissance plane, because if it was targeted with a missile or during clashes, the tires of the armored vehicle would have exploded; the armored vehicle was targeted from the sky."

Khourani added, "I personally rode that armored car, it was very solid and strong, and there were no traces of bullets on its sides. If a missile hit it, it would have had to fall on the four sides of the vehicle, or its tires would explode."

Khourani explained that there is a political goal behind the attack, which aims to escalate the situation against Kurds and destroy the Kurdistan Region.
