SDC and AANES meet Mar Bechara Boutros al-Rahi

Syria's Democratic Party, the SDC, stated that a delegation representing the council and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has met Mar Bechara Boutros al-Rahi in Bkerke.

The council released on it's website that a delegation made up of Head of the Executive Body of the Council, Ilham Ahmed, and  representative of the AANES in Lebanon Abdula Slam Ahmed, in addition to lawyer Zena Kalab and secretary of the Newroz League in Lebanon Cemal Hesen all paid a visit to Mar Bechara Boutros al-Rahi in Bkerki in Jounieh of Lebanon.

According to the website, the visit took place at Thursday afternoon, adding that Ilham Ahmed handed over a letter defining that SDC to the Patriarch that welcome the delegation warmly.  

The delegation diluted on the national project that aims to preserve Syria and save it from the dilemma that sweeps the country, and that it works out to meet the asspirations of the Syrian people building a democratic decentralized system that unites Syria and preserve it integrity via a plural constitution that embodies the country's cultural, religious and nationalist variety  in whose process all people should take part to draft it with no exclusion.

The delegation also enlarged on the issue of Turkish occupation of Afrin, Sere Kaniye, Tal Abyad and other Syrian territories occupied by the Turkish occupation forces, as well as the challenges facing the AANES and putting into practice the UN Res. 2254.

It was also noted that the political process is failed because the parts that are participating are not representing all Syrian people and that the Syrian Government keeps it’s stance and rejecting to recognize the new reality on the ground and has only the resort to forces policy as the sole and mere solution.

From his part, Mar Bechara Boutros al-Rahi posed some questions on the work of the AANES and the Syrian dilemma in general wishing ''the Syrian tragedy to be terminated and that welfare, peace and security prevail Syria and Syrian people''.
