Politician: Anyone who is silent about Turkey's violations is a partner in these violations

The politician Muslim Abbas said that the Turkish State is launching its attacks on the lands of Southern Kurdistan, in front of the eyes of the regional government, stressing on all Kurdish forces to support their people and work for the Kurdish cause, because achieving national unity is conditional on the unity of the Kurdish parties, far from their interests and agendas that only serve themselves.

Since the 23rd of last April, the Turkish Occupation State has launched its attacks on legitimate defense zones with the aim of occupying these areas and controlling them in order to eliminate the Kurdish people and obliterating their existence.

The administrator in the Political Office of the Kurdistan Democratic Peace Party, Muslim Abbas, talked to ANHA agency about the designs and objectives of the Turkish Occupation from its attacks on legitimate defence zones: "The Turkish State has always worked to eliminate the goals of the Kurdish people, fighting against their struggle on all sides."

Abbas spoke of the silence of the Kurdistan Regional Government: "For months now, the Turkish Occupation has been carrying out its attacks on the territory of Southern Kurdistan, using all kinds of weapons and aircraft in the front the eyes of KRG.

He continued: "A year ago, President of the Kurdistan Regional Government Nejervan Berzani visited Turkey, when Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated that, with the help of the Kurdistan Regional Government, they would eliminate the PKK."

Abbas stressed: "Turkey has always launched its attacks on legitimate defence zones on the grounds that the PKK poses a threat to national security, but what we see on the ground is the exact opposite. Indeed, Turkey poses a significant threat to our national security."

Abbas noted: "There are more than 34 Turkish checkpoints and bases on the lands of Southern Kurdistan, their major base in the Bashiqa region, and today Turkey is trying to build a base for it in the Metîna area in order to cut the Qandil and Dohuk regions from each other."

The Administrator of the Political Office of Kurdistan Democratic Peace Party Muslim Abbas concluded his statement and wished: "From all Kurdish parties present in Southern Kurdistan to break their silence and express their position to stop the attacks of the Turkish Occupation and its mercenaries on Zap, Avaşîn, Metîna areas, the Turkish State has always worked to eliminate the HPG. We all know that the only movement working on the ground for the freedom and peace of its people is the Guerilla forces."
