Turkish authorities continue their arbitrary and anti-human rights policies against Leader Abdullah Ocalan by imposing severe isolation on him in the solitary prison in Imrali Island, which does not allow his lawyer and his parents to meet with him and to check on him

The last meeting with the Leader took place on August 7th 2019, in what was his last contact with the outside world on March 25th, during a 5-minute phone call with his brother, Mohamed Ocalan, after which he broke off without knowing enough about his health.

PYD General Council member Adnan Kalo, commented on the Turkish State's objectives of imposing severe isolation on Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

At the outset, Kalo noted that "the isolation imposed by the Turkish Occupying State on Leader Abdullah Ocalan is part of a historic strategy of the Occupying State to exterminate the Kurdish people."

'Revolutions and massacres'
"There have been numerous revolutions of the Kurdish people, many massacres, and the Occupying State has always stood up to their revolutions and rights, seeking to annihilate them through the massacres they are committing against them."

In his speech, Kalo drew attention to the war initiated by Occupying State against the Leader and his ideology: "The severe isolation on Leader Abdullah Ocalan is the fear of the Turkish Occupying State and the countries that support it of his thinking and philosophy in the Middle East."

'Different revolution, intellectual and human inheritance '
In his speech, Kalo explained that "the revolution initiated by Leader Ocalan is different from the other revolutions that were failing when its leaders were arrested, but Leader Ocalan left behind thousands of revolutionaries and an intellectual legacy that will prevail for decades."

Adding: "When we call upon the international community and humanitarian organizations for the freedom of Leader Ocalan, we demand his physical freedom, his intellect, as well as his philosophy, is illustrated by the path followed by the martyrs and the wounded," stressing that millions of people in the region are following his thinking and philosophy."

Reviving of the leader's thought means his freedom '

"If the peoples of the region wish to lift the isolation imposed by Occupying State on Leader Abdullah Ocalan, we must salute his thought on ourselves, within our homes and everywhere.

In conclusion, he stressed that the Turkish Occupying State was "afraid of the thinking of the leader, who has no borders, since there are foreign fighters and from all over the world we see today adopting his ideas and bearing arms in the mountains of freedom."
