According to the source, the “emir” in the ranks of ISIS mercenaries who died was Musab al-Badr, from the people of Al-Muntbah neighborhood in the occupied Girê Spi district, and he entered the city with Turkey and its mercenaries after their occupation of it on the 9th of October of 2019.

The source confirmed that Musab was a member of the so-called "Crocodile Battalion" and that he committed several crimes against civilians from the people of Girê Spi and its countryside, in addition to throwing many young men into the hole known as "Houta" on the pretext that they were opposed to the mercenaries.

The source pointed out that Musab held several leadership positions in ISIS, including the governor of the border between Turkey and the city of Girê Spî / Tal Abyad.

The source noted that mercenary Musab fled with several leaders from the region to Turkey in 2015 after the People's Protection Units and Women’s Protection Units liberated it from the abomination of ISIS.

Since Turkey and its mercenaries occupied the Girê Spi canton, our agency has documented the return of hundreds of ISIS mercenaries and their families to the canton with the protection of Turkey, most of them were presented as leaders of the mercenary factions of the Turkish occupation, who committed hundreds of crimes during their occupation of the region against civilians, including killing, field executions, retribution and other crimes.
